District Eligibility Requirements for Participation in Promotion Activities:

 
Academics
Student must pass ALL 8th Grade classes
No Semester F’s
 

Citizenship

  • No more than 1 “U” on the 3rd quarter report card **
  • No more than 1 “U” on the 4th quarter report card
  • No serious violations of the behavior code during 4th quarter that result in a single 5-day suspension or two separate suspensions.
 
** 8th graders who will be promoting and who receive two or more (“U”s) during the third quarter grading period, are not be allowed to participate in promotional activities. Students who demonstrate improvement by not receiving unsatisfactory behavior assignments ("U"s) during the fourth trimester will be considered.
 
Indebtedness
  • No outstanding debts for lost/damaged books, fundraisers, etc.

Attendance
  • Student must have minimum of 85% attendance (8th grade year only)

How to refer a student to a counselor?
For crisis management, refer immediately. For routine questions, parents can make an appointment with the counseling secretary.
